10th Anniversary
Donation to Heifer International

In honor of our 10th Anniversary, The Candleshop inn has donated 10 flocks of chickens to Heifer International, a nonprofit humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and poverty. By providing trees, seeds, and thirty kinds of livestock to poverty stricken families in more than fifty countries – including the United States -- communities come together to create permanent solutions for poverty and hunger.

Heifer International trains and educates the recipients in environmentally-sound agriculture, animal wellness, water quality and gender equity. Each recipient agrees to share one or more of their animals’ offspring to others in need, thereby “Passing on the Gift.” Please visit their web site, www.heifer.org to learn more about this very unique organization.
